Muñoz & Company sponsored by Jarritos, and RKI Texas Lighting installed Port of Entry at Calder Plaza from September 23 – October 11, 2015 for ArtPrize7, in Grand Rapids Michigan.
An adaptation of “Mestizo City” installation for 2012 Art Basel/Design Miami Port of Entry celebrates the rich cultural identity of Grand Rapids, of Michigan, and the United States of America in the 21st century. This sculpture, constructed of 13,260 Jarritos (Mexican soda bottles), represents the contributions of Latinos to the history and heritage of our country.
